Important Facts People Don’t Know About CBD Oil
CBD oil is all the rage now but most people have little clue what it is or how it works in our bodies. I’ll be sharing some interesting historical facts about CBD oil too.
1. Is CBD legal and is it marijuana?

CBD oil and hemp oil is now readily available in all states thanks to the Farm Bill that was passed in 2018.
Dr. Scott Gottlieb, wrote this statement for the FDA in June 2018 about the Farm Bill:
“Today, the FDA approved a purified form of the drug cannabidiol (CBD)…the new product was approved to treat seizures associated with two rare, severe forms of epilepsy in patients two years of age and older.”
Wow! That is a powerful statement. CBD oil is having some amazing results and the FDA is noticing.
You can get CBD oil from marijuana and from the hemp plant, but only CBD oil derived from the hemp plant that has 0% THC is what is legal now. Marijuana-derived CBD is still illegal in most states. When you use the brand that we talk about here, you will be guaranteed that your CBD oil will contain 0% THC.
Some CBD oil contains trace amounts of THC but you’ll want to get CBD oil with 0% THC to be safe.
2. The Difference Between CBD and THC
This slide on the right gives a really good comparison between CBD and THC. CBD is not psychoactive but THC is.
Some CBD oil contains trace amounts of THC but it’s best to get CBD oil that has 0% THC in it to be completely safe.
CBD oil is legal in all 50 states while THC is legal in only 4 states.
CBD oil from hemp is grown for textiles, feed and therapeutic CBD, while THC is grown as a recreational and medicinal drug.
There are NO Side effects with CBD that contains 0% THC, but THC can cause paranoia and anxiety.
Effects on the Body – CBD creates homeostasis in the body (balance of body systems) while THC can be addictive and unpredictable in the body.

3. New Body System Found in 1990 that LOVES CBD Oil!
What is the Cannabionoid System?
We have a digestive system and a respiratory system along with other body systems. Did you know that we also have an endocannabinoid system?
The Endocannabinoid body system was found in the 1990s by Dr. Rafael Mechoulam in Isreal at the Hebrew University. He found that there is a network of cells throughout the body that have receptors for CBD (cannabidiol).
What is Cannabidiol? It is the active ingredient of the hemp plant that interacts directly with our body’s endocannabinoid system – or CBD for short.
What are cannabinoid receptors? These are networks of cells found all over our body (see picture). There are more of these than any other receptors in our bodies.
Cannabinoid Receptor Facts
These receptors are found in the immune system, tissues, glands, connective tissue, organs and the brain. They help the body achieve balance in every area. That is their job to encourage homeostasis.
How do essential oils help CBD oil?
Essential oils contain terpenes (the part of the plant that gives off the smell) and when essential oils are mixed with CBD isolate, it is a beautiful combination. Our bodies can receive this combination well and take the oils right to the CBD receptors where they can be used by the body.
4. Know your source – Not All CBD is Created Equal
CBD Oil for Natural Wellness Support
If you’ve been looking for a simple, natural way to support your body’s balance and overall wellness, CBD oil is something many people are exploring today. Choosing a clean, high-quality product matters — and that’s one of the reasons I recommend LiveGood CBD Oil.
LiveGood is committed to using pure, carefully sourced ingredients, starting with hemp grown on select U.S. farms known for high standards and clean growing practices. Their CBD oil is crafted to deliver consistent quality you can feel good about using as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Why This CBD Oil Uses MCT Oil
One thing that makes this CBD oil different is the carrier oil.
While some CBD products use hemp seed oil, this formula uses MCT (medium-chain triglyceride) oil, which is commonly used in wellness products because it’s easily absorbed by the body and helps deliver nutrients efficiently.
MCT oil helps the body utilize CBD more effectively, making each serving smooth, consistent, and easy to use as part of your daily routine.
Clean Sourcing and Careful Extraction
From responsibly grown hemp to modern extraction methods, LiveGood focuses on purity, quality, and consistency every step of the way. The result is a CBD oil made with clean ingredients and thoughtful production standards — something I personally look for when choosing wellness products for myself and my family.
If you’re curious about adding CBD oil to your wellness routine, this is one of my favorite options because it combines quality, simplicity, and affordability.
CBD Oil FAQ
What is CBD oil?
CBD (cannabidiol) is a natural compound found in hemp plants. CBD oil is made by extracting CBD from hemp and blending it with a carrier oil, such as MCT oil, to make it easy to use and absorb.
Will CBD oil make me feel “high”?
No. CBD is non-psychoactive, which means it does not produce the “high” associated with THC. Most hemp-derived CBD products contain only trace amounts of THC (or none at all), making them suitable for daily wellness use.
Why do people use CBD oil?
Many people include CBD oil in their wellness routine to support:
-
Relaxation and calm

Better sleep habits
-
Recovery after physical activity

Overall balance and well-being
Everyone’s body is different, so experiences can vary.
How do you use CBD oil?
Most CBD oil is taken under the tongue (sublingually) using a dropper. Hold it there for about 30–60 seconds before swallowing. This helps with absorption.
Some people also add CBD oil to smoothies or drinks.
How much CBD oil should I take?
It’s usually best to start small and increase slowly until you find what works for you. Many people begin with a small daily serving and adjust based on their comfort level and goals.
Consistency matters more than large amounts.

When choosing CBD oil, look for:
-
Hemp grown in the United States
