Essential Oils for Weight Balance

Although people still need to eat well to lose weight, there are some essential oils for weight balance that can help them have greater success in this area. With so many diet gimmicks out there, many people don’t essential oils for weight lossthink that essential oils are any different. The truth is that they can be used for many things related to weight balance including cleansing the liver, helping reduce appetite and cravings, encouraging a sense of well being, and promote better sleep.

Lemon – drink a few drops first thing in the morning in about 8 ounces of water. This is very cleansing to the liver and has lots of other benefits listed here – http://thechalkboardmag.com/why-you-should-drink-warm-water-lemon/

Drinking lemon water during the day is good too, but the best benefit to your body happens when you drink it first thing in the morning about 30 minutes before you eat anything.

 Grapefruit – 4 drops per quart of water can help control cravings and appetite. I didn’t really think this was working after a while, so I stopped putting the oil in my water one day. I wondered why I kept walking around looking for food all day. Then it occurred to me that maybe the grapefruit oil WAS working to control my appetite.

Peppermint – This is the best oil for so many issues like digestive issues and joint support, but one wonderful benefit of peppermint oil is helping to control appetite! Smell peppermint oil several times before you eat and it will help you not feel as hungry. It really works!
Make sure you don’t touch your eyes with the fingers that you used to apply the peppermint.

Peace & Calming – Let’s face it, when you don’t get enough sleep, your judgement is impaired and you sometimes find yourself looking for food to help you stay awake. Many people who put Peace & Calming oil on their feet at night find that they sleep much better.

Another use for Peace & Calming oil blend is to use it during the day when you are feeling stressed. You can put the oil on your temples, wrists or belly button to help you relax and not be so stressed. Many people eat when they are stressed, so another way to help those stress-eaters is to use this oil when needed.

Don’t ingest any oils but Young Living oils! Most oils you purchase in the stores even say right on the label not to ingest them. Young Living oils are the only ones I will use for my family.

Here are 2 weight balancing protocols for essential oils that I have seen. This one is fairly reasonable to implement.

Another thing you can do to help boost your weight balancing efforts is to drink 1-2 protein shakes a day as a meal replacement. I always have a protein shake for breakfast and sometimes one for lunch if there are no leftovers to eat or if I am out and don’t want to get fast food. Be VERY careful which protein shakes you get though. Young Living Power Meal and Pure Protein Complete are very good and have pure ingredients. So many of the protein shakes out there contain soy, artificial sweeteners, and lots of other garbage. Make sure to either use Young Living shakes or read your labels very carefully.
